What are the official dates of the Bold Like Jesus Conference?
Conference attendees may check in beginning at 4:30pm on Thursday, February 2-4, 2017. The last event scheduled for the conference is Closing Worship beginning at 10:45am on Saturday, February 4.

Where is the Bold Like Jesus Conference located?
Trinity AME Zion, 631 East Florida Street, in Greensboro will host this event.

Attendance & Registration

When does registration open? When do early bird discounts end?
Registration is now open. Early bird discounts end January 7, 2017.  Advance conference registration ends on February 1, 2017. If you want to register after this date, please email jmocko@nclutheran.org to find out if space is still available. We encourage you to register early, as attendance is limited.

How can I register to attend?
Visit the Registration page, where you may register online, and choose to pay by check or credit card.

Can I fill out the registration form and pay later?
Yes, please select the “Mail” option when prompted during the online registration process. You may also choose to pay using a credit card. Please mail your payment along with a copy of your registration confirmation to: North Carolina Lutheran Synod, 1988 Lutheran Synod Drive, Salisbury, NC 28144.

I’ve had problems registering online. What do I do? 
If you have any problems during your online registration process, please email John Mocko at jmocko@nclutheran.org.

Can I get a refund if I’m unable to attend?
Refunds will be issued. Please send an email to jmocko@nclutheran.org for more information. Registrations may be transferred to another attendee. The substituting attendee should pay the original attendee directly, since payment will have already been made. Please notify conference organizers in advance if substitutions will be made.

Navigating the Conference

Is there a charge for parking at Trinity AME?
There is plenty of surface lot parking available free of charge at the church.

I have special dietary needs. Who can I talk to about that?
Please indicate any special dietary needs when you register, so we may communicate your special needs to the caterer in advance of the event.

Is the conference facility handicapped-accessible?
Yes, there are elevators and ramps located throughout the facility.

May I bring my children along to the conference? 
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare during the conference so we ask that you make alternate arrangements for your family while you are with us.

What is the dress code?
Attire is casual. Feel free to be comfortable in slacks, shorts, t-shirts, sweaters, blouses, skirts, and comfortable shoes. We do recommend you dress in layers as temperatures in the facility can vary.

Can I use my mobile phone during the conference?
As a courtesy to presenters and other attendees, we ask that you kindly turn off your mobile phones during sessions and keynote presentations. Please quietly exit the room to attend to important phone calls.

Will my photo be taken during conference?
We take photographs during our conference for use in newsletters and promotional materials, whether in print, electronic, or other media, including the conference website. By participating in this conference you grant conference organizers the right to use your name and photograph for such purposes.
